editorial overview

A person can own the latest high-tech firearms and accessories available, but without the knowledge of how to use them properly they are virtually useless. The September 2006 issue is chock full of articles relating to training, having articles on some well-established schools and some relative newcomers. While an article can never be considered a substitute for attending a course with a reputable instructor, you can count on S.W.A.T. to tell you whether or not a course is worthy of spending your hard-earned cash on.

We also have several articles on firearms and gear written in the “tell-it-like-it-is” style that S.W.A.T. has become famous for. You won't find glitzy reports with pretty studio photographs in our magazine, just the hard facts about whether the products work—or don't work—as advertised.

Finally, our monthly columns written by a stellar staff of experts range from humorous to deadly serious with a healthy sprinkling of tips that can save lives—possibly yours or a loved one.

There’s something for everyone in the September issue of S.W.A.T. Magazine.

Is Thirteen A Lucky Number?
